Sony’s official store now open in Gulshan

Sony, world-renowned Japanese brand, has opened its official store on the first floor of Habib Super Market in Gulshan-1, Dhaka. The showroom will be operated by Smart Technologies (BD) Limited (Sony-Smart), Sony's official distributor in Bangladesh.

The store was jointly inaugurated by Mr Moha Mazharul Islam, chairman of Smart Technologies (BD) Limited, and Mr Ricky Lucas, head of Sony International (Pvt.) Ltd. Bangladesh Branch, on Wednesday morning. Also present at the event were RMDC Sony manager Mr Vincent Tay, executive Mr Valerie Jingyuan Wu, Sony-Smart director Mr Md Tanvir Hossain, head of sales and general manager Mr Md Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, head of marketing and deputy general manager Mr Azad Rahman, and managing director of Eco Batteries Limited Mr Md Munir Chowdhury.

To celebrate the launch, customers are being offered attractive discounts on all Sony products. The first 20 customers can purchase a 55-inch Sony XR-55A80L OLED TV worth Tk 346,900 for just Tk 170,000, a K-65S30 model TV worth Tk 261,900 for Tk 150,000, and an 85-inch K85S30 model worth Tk 655,900 for Tk 350,000. Additionally, customers can avail special Eid-ul-Fitr offers on Sony-Smart products, including Sony Bravia series Google TVs, Sharp refrigerators, air conditioners, and other electronics. There are also opportunities to win smart air conditioners, air coolers, and rechargeable fans.

At the inauguration, Mr Ricky Lucas said, "Smart Technologies (BD) Limited has played a vital role in marketing Sony's products in Bangladesh. With this official store in Gulshan, residents of the capital can now easily access all Sony electronic products. I commend this initiative and wish them continued success."

Mr Moha Mazharul Islam, chairman of Smart Technologies (BD) Limited, added, "Since entering the electronics market, Sony-Smart has received an overwhelming response from customers. We have built a strong distribution network across the country, ensuring genuine products and services at the right price. Our collaboration with Sony has strengthened customer trust in the brand, and we are proud to have established a significant presence in the hearts of Bangladeshi consumers."

He urged Sony enthusiasts to always purchase products from Sony-Smart showrooms to ensure authenticity, quality, and reliable service.

Smart Technologies (BD) Limited, known nationwide as Sony-Smart, is a leading ICT product marketing company in Bangladesh. Since becoming Sony's official distributor on 26 November 2021, the company has expanded its reach with 28 showrooms, over 210 partner showrooms, and more than 2,500 IT partners across the country. Sony-Smart officials also announced plans to increase the number of showrooms to over 50 in the near future.
