Sony congratulates new BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam
Mr Mohammad Zahirul Islam, Managing Director of Smart Technologies (BD) Limited, has assumed office as the newly elected President of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) for the 2025–27 term.
To mark the occasion, world-renowned Japanese electronics brand Sony extended its congratulations with a floral tribute.
Head of Sony International Bangladesh Branch, Mr Ricky Lukas, recently visited Mr Zahirul Islam at his office in Zahir Smart Tower in the capital. He was accompanied by Ms Kemnuj Maschavalit Ming, Product Manager of TV Product Marketing at RMDC Sony South East Asia.

Extending his best wishes, Mr Lukas said, "Mohammad Zahirul Islam's contribution to the growth of the ICT sector in Bangladesh is significant. I am confident that in his new role as President of Bangladesh Computer Samity, he will continue to play a vital role in advancing the country's technological development."
Mr Mohammad Zahirul Islam expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the visiting Sony officials for their support.
