Shwapno issues notice on media and PR contact changes
ACI Logistics Limited (Shwapno), one of Bangladesh's largest retail chains, has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted supply of essential daily necessities in all situations.
The company expressed gratitude for the ongoing support of print, electronic, and online media outlets.
Shwapno emphasised its adherence to transparency, accountability, and corporate governance, and deemed it necessary to inform stakeholders regarding a recent administrative issue.
According to the company, Md Kamruzzaman Milu, Media and PR Manager, submitted his resignation via email to the Human Resources Department on 8 March 2026, and subsequently went out of contact without completing a formal handover.
The company reported that preliminary allegations concerning possible financial irregularities during his tenure have since come to light. In response, ACI Logistics has formed an investigation committee to examine the matter.
Pending the outcome of the investigation, Md Kamruzzaman Milu has been placed under temporary suspension.
The company further noted that, during Ramadan 2024, Managing Director Sabbir Hasan Nasir instructed media representatives at a meeting in the Tejgaon office to direct all advertising and public relations queries to Md Atikur Rahman, Lead of Marketing Budget and Communication Operations, or Md Mahadi Faisal, Deputy Director of Category Growth and ESG.
Shwapno again requested that all queries regarding the company's advertising, public relations, or related matters be directed only to the authorised representatives, and not to Md Kamruzzaman Milu.
