Shimanto Bank inaugurates new branch in Ashulia
Shimanto Bank PLC has inaugurated a new branch in Ashulia, expanding its footprint to better serve industrial and local communities in the area.
Brigadier General Imtaj Uddin, ndc, psc, Additional Director General (Headquarters) of Border Guard Bangladesh and Director of Shimanto Bank, attended the ceremony as Chief Guest, while Mr Mohammad Azizul Hoque, Managing Director and CEO (Current Charge) of Shimanto Bank, presided over the event.
Mr Sahidul Islam, Head of Business at Shimanto Bank, along with local entrepreneurs and distinguished residents of Ashulia, was also present.
Speakers highlighted Shimanto Bank's commitment to excellent customer service and innovative financial solutions tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses.
The newly opened Ashulia branch will offer specialised corporate banking facilities, including working capital finance, project and term loans, trade finance and foreign currency transactions. Given its proximity to the Export Processing Zone (EPZ), the branch will also provide dedicated import–export banking services, enabling faster establishment and settlement of letters of credit (LCs).
In addition to corporate services, Shimanto Bank offers a wide range of retail banking products, including debit and credit cards, internet banking, personal, home, car and SME loans, as well as collateral-free agricultural and women entrepreneur loans and student banking services.
The bank is expanding its network of branches, sub-branches and ATM booths nationwide to ensure inclusive financial services reach marginal and underserved communities.
