SEU, BAC hold accreditation preparation workshop
Southeast University (SEU), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), organised a workshop titled 'Preparation for Accreditation: Documentation and Evidence' on 29 January 2026.
The workshop was conducted for members of the Programme Self-Assessment Committee (PSAC), representing 17 undergraduate and graduate programmes of Southeast University.
Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, attended the programme as chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the critical role of accreditation in ensuring quality assurance, accountability and global competitiveness in higher education.
The event was also attended by Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University, and Md Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of SEU, as special guests. They reiterated the university's commitment to academic excellence and continuous quality improvement.
The keynote presentation was delivered by SM Kabir, Member of BAC, who also chaired the session and provided practical guidance on accreditation documentation, evidence collection and compliance requirements.
The programme began with a welcome address by AKM Masum, Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Southeast University. This was followed by an interactive open discussion and question-and-answer session.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Nasir Uddin Ahammed, Director (Accreditation) of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council.
The event was attended by the Registrar of Southeast University, deans of various faculties, the Controller of Examinations, directors, faculty members, officers and administrative staff.
Organisers said the workshop reflects Southeast University's continued efforts to strengthen institutional preparedness for both national and international accreditation processes.
