Saudi tourism authority showcases ‘Umrah+’ at hajj fair

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), under its "Saudi, Welcome to Arabia" brand, showcased cultural and leisure travel options beyond pilgrimage at the National Hajj and Umrah Fair 2025 in Dhaka.
Five Bangladeshi trade partners, including Ababil Hajj Groups, Amda Tours and Travels, and Amin Tours and Travels, presented curated Umrah+ packages featuring Red Sea cruises, heritage tours, and scenic getaways. Thousands of visitors explored the offerings, reflecting the growing interest among Bangladeshi travellers to combine spiritual journeys with leisure experiences.
The packages featured Saudi's most popular destinations – from Jeddah's historic Al-Balad and Corniche to Taif's mountain resorts and rose gardens, and from Abha's Asir culture and landscapes to AlUla and Madain Saleh's UNESCO heritage sites. Other highlights included the Red Sea's coral reefs and resorts, alongside historically significant Islamic sites such as the Battle of Badr and Khaybar.
STA said the initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goal of becoming a global tourism hub, with a target to welcome over three million Bangladeshi travellers annually by 2030. To support this, visa processing for Bangladeshi nationals has been streamlined, and more than 50 weekly flights ensure smooth connectivity.
"Saudi Arabia blends spirituality with discovery. With Umrah+, we invite Bangladeshi travellers to explore more of the Kingdom." STA noted.
