Russian house hosts seminar on higher education in Russia

The Russian House in Dhaka organised an educational seminar on higher education opportunities in the Russian Federation under the Russian government quota system for Bangladeshi applicants.
The seminar provided participants with detailed information about the selection process for higher and additional professional education programmes within the quota, as well as the document submission procedure through the online platform.
Speakers highlighted Russia's long-standing contribution to Bangladesh's education sector, noting that thousands of Bangladeshi students have studied at Russian universities over the decades. Dr Mahamudul Hasan, a graduate of the National Medical Research Centre of Oncology named after N.N. Blokhin in Moscow, shared his experience of studying in Russia and the opportunities created by Russian education.
Russia currently has more than 750 universities and 650 specialities, with around 200 quota seats allocated for Bangladeshi students in 2026. Applications for the next academic year will remain open until January 2026.
Participants were also briefed on the Russian House's activities, Russian language study opportunities, and youth programmes.
