Renaissance Dhaka appoints new general manager

Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel has appointed Md Al Amin as its new General Manager, making him the first Bangladeshi to hold this position at Marriott International in South Asia.
With over 18 years of experience in the global hospitality industry, Al Amin has built a distinguished career in operations, strategy, and guest experience across international hotel brands. He has been with Marriott International for over seven years, successfully driving growth, commercial excellence, and service innovation.
Most recently, Al Amin served as Hotel Manager and property leader at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel. Previously, he served as the Hotel Manager of The Westin Dhaka and also led cluster sales and marketing efforts for both The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka. As a member of Sheraton Dhaka's pre-opening team, he played a key role in its successful market debut.
His career began with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, later merging into Marriott International, where he rose through the ranks by excelling in operations management, revenue optimisation, commercial strategy, and elevating guest satisfaction.
Recognised as one of Bangladesh's leading hoteliers, Al Amin's appointment represents a significant milestone for the country's hospitality sector internationally.
