RedOrange wins global ‘Power of Family Planning Award’ at ICFP 2025
Dutch–Bangladeshi communication and social innovation firm RedOrange Communications has brought pride to Bangladesh by winning the 'Power of Family Planning Award' at the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP 2025), held in Bogotá, Colombia, from 3 to 6 November 2025.
The award recognises RedOrange's pioneering work in family planning and social behaviour change, making it the only Bangladeshi organisation among eleven global recipients this year. The honour celebrates organisations that advance sexual and reproductive health and rights while driving transformative social impact through innovation.
RedOrange earned this recognition for its proprietary 'Five for One' model — a Strategic and Effective Communication framework for Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC). The model combines five key forces to achieve sustainable transformation: focused communication, community engagement, health system support, institutional collaboration and cost-effective innovation.
'The Power of Family Planning Award celebrates low-cost, high-impact solutions that improve health, equity and social well-being,' said the organisers. 'RedOrange's model exemplifies how effective communication and collaboration can reshape communities.'
Commenting on the achievement, Arnob Chakrabarty, Managing Director of RedOrange, said, 'We are deeply honoured to receive this recognition at ICFP 2025. True change begins when we listen with empathy to people's needs. This award proves that communication, when guided by compassion and purpose, can truly change lives.'
With this international recognition, RedOrange reaffirms its commitment to using behavioural science, storytelling and innovative methodologies to tackle complex development challenges in Bangladesh and beyond.
