Pubali Bank donates vehicle to support Bangladesh Medical College
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Pubali Bank PLC has donated a microbus to Bangladesh Medical College.
Mohammad Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC, attended the handover ceremony as Chief Guest at the college auditorium and officially handed over the keys to the vehicle.
The event was chaired by Professor Dr Mohammad Jalaluddin Iqbal, Principal of Bangladesh Medical College, and attended by Engineer Khandaker Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Co-Chairman of the Executive Committee; Major General Md Rafiqul Islam, Honorary Secretary; Engineer G M Jainal Abedin Bhuiyan, Honorary Treasurer; and Professor Dr Kazi Mazharul Islam, Chairman of the Governing Body.
From Pubali Bank, Md Shahnewaz Khan, Deputy Managing Director; AKM Abdur Raqib, General Manager and Head of Dhaka North Region; and Niger Sultana, Deputy General Manager and Head of Dhanmondi Branch, were present, along with doctors, students, and officials from both institutions.
Following the event, Mohammad Ali planted a tree at the future campus of Bangladesh Medical College.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mohammad Ali said, "Pubali Bank has always worked for the welfare of society, with special focus on education and healthcare. We do not operate only for profit, but also out of a sense of social responsibility. This microbus stands as a symbol of friendship and cooperation between two esteemed institutions."
