Jahedi Foundation launches month-long ramadan food distribution
As in previous years, the Jahedi Foundation has launched a month-long food distribution programme to support poverty alleviation efforts and share the spirit of Ramadan with underprivileged communities.
Under the programme—running for the past 17 years—each beneficiary family will receive a Ramadan food package containing 10 kg of rice, 1 kg of lentils, 1 kg of soybean oil and one packet of semai.
The programme was inaugurated at the Kingshuk Brickfield premises in Jhenaidah Municipality by M A Latif Shahriar Jahedi, an executive member of the Jahedi Foundation.

In the first phase, food assistance was distributed to around 5,000 families today. The foundation said it will gradually deliver the packages to around 60,000 vulnerable families across Jhenaidah and other parts of the country.
