PriyoShop launches AI-driven MSME credit with Community Bank

In a landmark step towards financial inclusion, PriyoShop, Bangladesh's leading B2B smart distribution platform, and Community Bank Bangladesh PLC have jointly disbursed the country's first-ever AI-powered MSME credit.
The milestone event was held at the Inter Continental Dhaka and attended by Asikul Alam Khan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PriyoShop; Dipty Mandal, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of PriyoShop; and Kimiwa Sadat, Managing Director of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, alongside senior officials from both organisations.
This pioneering initiative ushers in a new era for Bangladesh's five million underserved MSMEs, enabling small retailers to access working capital with greater speed, efficiency and inclusivity.
Through an exclusive partnership with Community Bank, PriyoShop has integrated an advanced digital eKYC system powered by AI-driven credit assessment. The system analyses three key dimensions – demographic profiles, purchasing patterns and psychological indicators – to deliver real-time, reliable credit decisions. By leveraging alternative data such as transaction histories and market trends, the platform can assess financial reliability within minutes – a breakthrough for retailers often excluded from traditional banking.
"MSMEs carry the weight of our economy every day, yet remain underserved. With this first AI-credit disbursement, we are not just unlocking capital; we are unlocking futures," said Asikul Alam Khan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PriyoShop. "Technology, when built with empathy, becomes a tool for dignity, growth and transformation."
Echoing the sentiment, Kimiwa Sadat, Managing Director of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, said:
"This partnership reflects our deep commitment to innovation and financial inclusion. By combining PriyoShop's cutting-edge AI technology with our financial services, we are creating new pathways for MSME growth and Bangladesh's economic prosperity."
Nazrul Islam, the first retailer to receive an AI-powered loan, said, "Getting loans was always a nightmare – too much paperwork, too many rejections. Today, I received credit within minutes. It feels like the system finally understands us."
The AI-powered MSME credit initiative is projected to disburse significant loan volumes in its first year, enhancing small retailers' purchasing power, inventory capacity and profitability. By accelerating access to working capital, the initiative aims to strengthen Bangladesh's $200 billion MSME sector and contribute to GDP growth.
This innovation places PriyoShop at the forefront of fintech, AI and inclusive commerce, building a financial backbone for millions of MSMEs and driving sustainable, technology-led economic empowerment across Bangladesh.
