Prime Bank and Aiub promote youth financial inclusion
Prime Bank PLC, in partnership with American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and its Business Club, hosted an inspiring seminar titled Financial Inclusion: Engaging & Inspiring Youth in Banking.
Held at the lively AIUB campus under PrimeAcademia — the bank's flagship campus initiative — the event created a dynamic platform to motivate and involve young minds in banking.
The event drew over 200 students from various disciplines, serving as a forum to advance financial literacy, responsible money management, and career opportunities in banking and financial services. The initiative aimed to equip young participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for employability, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Distinguished guests from AIUB included Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Saiful Islam, Professor Vice Chancellor Dr Abdur Rahman, and Assistant Professor and OPA Director R Tareque Moudud. Prime Bank was represented by Deputy Managing Director M. Nazeem A. Choudhury, SEVP & Head of Liability Shaila Abedin, and SVP & Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking M. M. Mahbub Hasan.
A standout moment was the launch of the Prime Youth Account—a student-focused banking product available in both conventional and Islamic formats. Tailored to inspire early financial responsibility, it empowers students to kickstart their financial journey with confidence. Many participants eagerly opened accounts on the spot, immersing themselves in modern banking firsthand.
Prime Bank speakers underscored the institution's commitment to inclusive growth, financial literacy, and youth-driven innovation, emphasising engagement with the next generation as part of its long-term vision and corporate social responsibility.
The seminar brought to life the value of industry–academia collaboration. Both AIUB and Prime Bank enthusiastically pledged to build dynamic partnerships through impactful student initiatives, collaborative research projects, and engaging skill development programmes.
