Presidency University launches ‘Admission Fest – Summer 2026’
Presidency University inaugurated its "Admission Fest – Summer 2026" yesterday (6 May), formally launching the admission campaign for the upcoming academic session.
The inauguration ceremony was held on the university campus at 11am, creating a festive atmosphere for prospective students seeking admission for the new academic year.
Presidency University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Abdul Mannan Chowdhury inaugurated the Admission Fest by cutting a ribbon as the chief guest.
Among others present at the programme were Presidency University Board of Trustees Principal Adviser Professor Dr Md Anwarul Kabir, Registrar Md Sakir Hossain, School of Engineering Dean Professor Dr Shahidul Islam Khan, School of Business Dean Professor Abul Kalam, School of Law Dean Professor Mohammad Azharul Islam, Controller of Examinations Mohammad Jahedur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs and Admin Afroza Helen, Proctor Md Anisur Rahman, and Deputy Director and Head of Admission and Public Relations Department Jahid Hasan.
Heads of various departments, faculty members, officers, staff members and students of the university were also present at the event.
As part of the Admission Fest, the university is offering a 75% waiver on admission fees, along with a special 10% tuition fee scholarship.
In addition, merit-based scholarships of up to 100% will be available for eligible students.
Newly admitted students will also receive complimentary gifts, including the Presidency University flagship bag, an attractive T-shirt and a special gift box.
Throughout the monthlong Admission Fest, prospective students will have access to information-based guidance, as well as academic and career counselling to help them make informed decisions regarding higher education.
