Premier Bank marks deposit, recovery milestone
Premier Bank PLC secured Tk1,144 crore in new deposits in just 26 working days under its "Deposit & Recovery Campaign 2026".
Additionally, the bank recovered approximately Tk523 crore in cash between January and April 2026.
The bank announced the achievement at a special meeting held at its head office on Thursday morning (7 May). Employees from across the country participated online as the meeting took place virtually.
Attending the meeting were Chairman Dr Arifur Rahman, Managing Director Md Monzur Mofiz, Deputy Managing Directors Niamat Uddin Ahmed, Amalendu Roy, SM Wali Ul Morshed and Mohammad Al-Amin, accompanied by other senior officials.
"This achievement demonstrates Premier Bank's commitment to maintaining customer trust and confidence. Our collective efforts will further reinforce the country's financial sector," Dr Arifur Rahman said.
Md Monzur Mofiz emphasised that the success achieved in just 26 working days was due to teamwork, customer-centric service, and focused planning.
"We will maintain our commitment to drive further dynamic growth for the bank," he added.
The meeting team reviewed the progress of the ongoing "Deposit & Recovery Campaign 2026" and evaluated key business indicators.
The bank credits enhanced customer service, innovative deposit mobilisation initiatives, and collaborative efforts across branches and divisions as key drivers behind this achievement.
