Policy dialogue held in sylhet to strengthen NGO Service Delivery

A divisional policy dialogue was held in Sylhet under the ISPAT project, which is implemented by the NGO Affairs Bureau and the UNDP Bangladesh, with support from the Australian Government.
NGOAB Director General Md Daud Miah, ndc, attended as chief guest, stressing the need for collaboration and digitisation to improve service delivery. Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Sher Mahbub Murad and Australian High Commission First Secretary Syed Haider also spoke.
Key reforms discussed included faster NGO registration and project approvals, upgraded digital platforms, and gender-responsive services. The ISPAT project (July 2024–June 2027) specifically aims to enhance NGOAB's institutional capacity to deliver efficient and inclusive services, promote innovation among NGOs, and promote transparent and gender-responsive governance.
