Phoenix Summit Dhaka 2025 wraps up with strong emphasis on digital safety in Bangladesh

The inaugural Phoenix Summit Dhaka 2025, a landmark cybersecurity event, concluded on May 24th after three impactful days of knowledge sharing, strategic discussions, and collaboration.

The summit brought together leading experts, policymakers, and industry professionals, marking a significant step in Bangladesh's ongoing efforts to elevate, transform, and ascend in cybersecurity and fortify the nation's digital defences.
As Bangladesh rapidly advances its Smart Bangladesh vision, the summit addressed the imperative of robust cybersecurity. The nation's past experiences with cyber threats, including major financial heists, have highlighted the undeniable need for resilient infrastructure, advanced expertise, and a culture of digital vigilance. The Phoenix Summit Dhaka 2025 was a powerful platform to tackle these challenges head-on.

Under the theme "Experience the New Dimension. Elevate. Transform. Ascend," the summit fostered a collaborative environment to build a more secure digital ecosystem for Bangladesh.

The three-day agenda covered a broad spectrum of cybersecurity topics, including defensive strategies (Blue Team Day), enterprise governance and risk management (Enterprise Day), and offensive security tactics and ethical hacking (Red Team Day). Keynotes from experts such as B M Zahid ul Haque and Dr. Harvey Rubin, along with panel discussions and technical talks, addressed areas like advanced threat detection, AI in cybersecurity, mobile and data privacy, talent development, and sophisticated attack mitigation.

"The overwhelming engagement and the depth of discussions at the Phoenix Summit have been truly encouraging..." said Dihan Islam, an organiser. "The insights shared and connections made here will undoubtedly strengthen our nation's capacity to navigate the complexities of the digital age."

The closing ceremony was concluded with the presence of Ia Rong Low - Director General Apnic, Australia, Adli Wahid - Apnic, Australia, Major General Md. Emdad Ul Bari - OSP, NDC, PSC, TE (Retd.) Chairman, BTRC, Tarek Siddiki - (PC Co-Chair) Ex-Cobalt, Bangladesh.
Fasbeer, a member of the Organising Committee, stated, "I have done my academics in Cybersecurity; hence, I wanted to do something for my motherland, and The Team Phoenix has been a platform for me to do so."
Shamim Reza, founder of Phoenix, emphasised, "The next generation of cyber defenders is ready. We must nurture and equip them with the right knowledge while providing corporate exposure. Phoenix Summit is such an event that helps in both aspects."

The Phoenix Summit Dhaka is a premier cybersecurity conference dedicated to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and strengthening Bangladesh's cybersecurity posture. It aims to create a collaborative platform for professionals, industry leaders, and policymakers to address current and future cyber threats.
