NSU holds winter clothes distribution programme
North South University (NSU) organised a winter clothes distribution programme on 20 January 2026, with sponsorship from Southeast Bank PLC, to provide winter relief to the university's office support staff, security personnel and cleaners.
As part of the programme, NSU distributed 1,000 blankets, reflecting the university's commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
The event was attended by MA Kashem, Founder Life Member and former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of NSU and Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC, as the chief guest. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, attended the programme as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, MA Kashem said the initiative reflected a shared responsibility towards society and emphasised the importance of supporting those in need, adding that Southeast Bank was proud to be associated with the programme.
Abdul Hannan Chowdhury said NSU believes in contributing to society beyond academic activities and described the winter distribution programme as a small but meaningful effort to support vulnerable communities.
Through the initiative, NSU reiterated its commitment to humanitarian service and to promoting compassion, empathy and social engagement within its community.
