BCB, Cricket South Africa sign MoU to boost cricket cooperation
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral cooperation in cricket development.
The MoU was signed on 16 January 2026 at the Bangladesh High Commission's chancery in Pretoria. The agreement was signed by H E Shah Ahmed Shafi, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to South Africa, on behalf of the BCB, and Pholetsi Moseki, Chief Executive Officer of CSA, on behalf of Cricket South Africa.
Under the agreement, emerging Bangladeshi cricketers will receive high-performance training on a regular basis at CSA's Centre of Excellence in Pretoria. The MoU also includes training and exchange programmes for umpires and pitch curators, as well as increased bilateral tours for men's and women's teams at various levels, including age-group and high-performance squads.
The partnership further envisages cooperation in coaching development, technical knowledge exchange and institutional capacity building.
The three-year agreement is expected to deepen cricketing ties between Bangladesh and South Africa and contribute to the long-term development of the sport in both countries.
