MTB introduces ‘CEO Connect’ for closer leadership dialogue
Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) has introduced a new internal engagement initiative titled 'CEO Connect', marking a milestone in the bank's efforts to strengthen open dialogue and closer leadership engagement.
The initiative aims to provide selected employees with a structured opportunity to interact directly with the managing director and CEO in an engaging, approachable and inclusive setting – the first initiative of its kind in MTB's history.
The inaugural session of CEO Connect was held on 20 January 2026 at the MTB boardroom, with 30 employees representing different business segments and functions of the bank participating. Designed as a dialogue rather than a formal presentation, the session focused on listening, shared experiences and understanding employees' professional journeys, ideas and aspirations beyond conventional reporting lines.
Speaking about the initiative, Syed Mahbubur Rahman, managing director and CEO of MTB, said the spirit of 'Mutual' lies in partnership and connection – not only with customers, but also among colleagues.
He noted that meaningful conversations often take place in smaller, more personal settings, and said CEO Connect has been designed to create such a platform. Through the initiative, MTB reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a people-centric culture, open communication, and inclusive leadership across the organisation.
