Midland Bank holds annunal business meeting

Annual Business Conference 2025 of Branch, Sub-Branch, Agent Banking, Cards, Islami Banking, Retail Sales, Institutional Banking, SME, NRB, Card, and Treasury Business of Midland Bank was held on 24th January 2025 at the Ball Room of Hotel Amari Dhaka.  

Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank, inaugurated the conference as Chief Guest and presided over the meeting. Md Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and CRO of the Bank, was also present along with the Senior Management Team (SMT), Head of Divisions, Unit Heads of the Institutional Banking Division, Head of Branches, Sub-Branch Managers and CEO of Midland Bank Asset Management Company Ltd.

At the beginning of the conference, Didarul Islam, the Bank's CFO, presented the bank's overall business performance.

Md Javed Tarek Khan, Head of Institutional Banking, Unit Heads, Head of SME and Head of Treasury Division were present and presented at the conference. Khondokar Toufique Hossain, Head of ID and NRB, presented the bank's NRB business performance. The business performance of the institutional banking units, SMEs, and Treasury NRB Banking was reviewed, the yearly budget 2025 was assessed, and strategies for achieving the budget were discussed in the conference.

Md Rashed Akter, Head of Retail Distribution Division along with Area Heads, Cluster Heads, Head of Branches and Sub-Branch Managers, Head of Branch SME and Retail Business, Head of Cards, Head of Agent Banking, Head of Retail Sales, Manager of Islami Banking Window, Manager of Financial Literacy Wings, Manager of Project, Process, Product Development, Digital Transformation and Bancassurance participated in the conference and briefed their analysis through presentation and demonstration. The business performances of the branches, sub-branches, cards, Islami banking, agent banking, and retail sales were reviewed, the yearly budget for 2025 was assessed, and strategies for achieving the budget were discussed at the conference.

The Managing Director urged everyone to ensure excellence in service and help clients meet their financial goals while remaining compliant with regulatory guidelines, maintaining asset quality, ensuring recovery of non-performing loans, and delivering on shareholders' returns.

At the end of the conference, a prize-giving ceremony was also held. The Bank distributed crests and certificates to the top performers in different categories.
