LankaBangla, Mastercard, BDF launch co-branded credit card for doctors

Mastercard, LankaBangla Finance PLC (LBF), and Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF) have introduced LankaBangla Mastercard Titanium credit card, exclusively tailored for medical professionals. This co-branded card offers a range of privileges, including discounts, lifestyle benefits, and enhanced financial flexibility.

The card, launched at LankaBangla's Safura Tower headquarters, is available to all BDF members, including doctors, staff, and their families. Senior doctors at the level of Assistant Professor and above will enjoy a lifetime waiver of the annual fee, while other members will benefit from a two-year waiver, with subsequent years waived for 12 annual transactions.

Cardholders gain access to exclusive discounts and offers at over 10,000 Mastercard partner outlets, "Buy One, Get One" deals at city hotels, and savings on dining and lifestyle purchases. Additional benefits include 0% interest "Buy Now, Pay Later" installments, up to 36 months of flexible payment options, complimentary airport lounge access, and unlimited Meet & Greet services at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The card also features 98% cash transfer efficiency, hassle-free loan facilities, and reduced interest rates on tuition fee installments. Supplementary cards allow family members to share in the benefits, enhancing convenience for BDF members.

Humaira Azam, Managing Director of LankaBangla Finance, expressed optimism, stating, "This co-branded credit card will enhance the lifestyle of BDF members, simplifying cashless transactions and daily life."

Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard, said, "Mastercard is proud to support this initiative, providing tailored financial solutions for medical professionals in Bangladesh."

Dr. Md. Shahed Rafi Pavel, Chairman of BDF, added, "This card reflects our commitment to improving the professional lives of our members, offering practical benefits to enhance their payment experiences."

The event was attended by senior officials from Mastercard, LankaBangla Finance, and BDF, underscoring the collaborative effort to launch this innovative financial solution for Bangladesh's medical community.
