Karmasangsthan Bank to step up youth job initiatives
Karmasangsthan Bank held a meeting titled "Review of Activities and Future Plans for Employment Generation among the Unemployed Youth of the Country" at its head office on 25 September 2025.
Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division (FID) under the Ministry of Finance, attended the programme as chief guest. Dr A F M Matiur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors and former secretary, presided over the meeting.
In her speech, Nazma Mobarek emphasised the expansion of loan disbursement for marginalised women and financing eco-friendly projects. She also urged greater support for trained unemployed youth to promote sustainable job creation.
Dr Rahman highlighted the bank's role in socio-economic development, while Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury said the institution is evolving into a hub for entrepreneurship development, beyond loan services.
The meeting also featured a presentation on the bank's future plans by Md Moshiur Rahman, DGM of the Loan and Advance Department.
Marking the bank's 27th anniversary, the FID secretary extended greetings to customers, stakeholders, and staff, wishing for the institution's continued prosperity.
