Karmasangsthan Bank holds review meeting on activities and expansion plans

A meeting titled "Review of Activities and Future Plans of Karmasangsthan Bank for Employment Generation among the Unemployed Youth of the Country" was held at the bank's head office on 25 September 2025.
Nazma Mobarek, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division (FID) under the Ministry of Finance, attended the meeting as chief guest. Dr A.F.M. Matiur Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karmasangsthan Bank and former Secretary, presided over the session.
Also present were Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of FID Md Sayed Kutub, Joint Secretary of FID Maksuma Akter Banu, Deputy Secretary of FID Muhammad Mizanur Rahman, General Managers of the bank Mahmuda Yasmin, Md Shafiqul Islam Mia and Md Amirul Islam, along with other senior officials.
In her speech, the chief guest emphasised the importance of increasing loan disbursement to empower marginalised women and create employment. She also advised expanding financing for environmentally friendly projects and providing greater support to trained unemployed youth.
Dr A.F.M. Matiur Rahman noted that the role of Karmasangsthan Bank in creating employment opportunities is closely tied to the country's socio-economic development, expressing the bank's commitment to transforming unemployed youth into entrepreneurs.
Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury stated that Karmasangsthan Bank is serving as a driving force in building a self-reliant, skilled, and capable young generation. He said the bank is not just a loan-providing institution but also a creative hub for entrepreneurship development.
During the meeting, Md Moshiur Rahman, Deputy General Manager of the Loan and Advance Department, presented detailed information about the bank's activities and future plans for employment generation.
On the occasion of the bank's 27th anniversary, Secretary Nazma Mobarek extended greetings to customers, stakeholders, well-wishers, and staff, wishing for the institution's continued prosperity.
