Karmasangsthan Bank holds public hearing in Sunamganj

Karmasangsthan Bank's Sunamganj Branch held a Customer Gathering and Public Hearing on 8 September 2025 at Shaheed Muktijoddha Jagatjyoti Public Library, involving customers and stakeholders.
Dr AFM Matiur Rahman, Former Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karmasangsthan Bank, attended the event as the chief guest. Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank, and Dr Mohammad Elias Mia, Deputy Commissioner of Sunamganj, were present as special guests. The event was presided over by Md Amirul Islam, General Manager of the Audit Department.
In his address, Dr Matiur Rahman described Sunamganj as a district "rich in tradition and full of potential" and assured support for local entrepreneurs in agriculture, fisheries, haor-based products, and tourism. He encouraged entrepreneurs to access loans from the bank to become self-reliant.
The Managing Director highlighted the bank's role in financing underdeveloped areas, stressing the need to disburse credit to the right persons for productive activities. The Deputy Commissioner noted Karmasangsthan Bank's contribution to reducing unemployment and pointed to potential financing opportunities in the leather, solar panel, and jewellery sectors.
Stakeholders and customers shared feedback and suggestions during the event. As a result, the bank agreed to review loan processes and consider stakeholder input when designing future products and services, with participants expressing satisfaction over the bank's services.
