Janata Bank holds ALCO meet to boost deposits
Janata Bank PLC held a meeting of its Asset–Liability Management Committee (ALCO) at the bank's head office, presided over by Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman.
Deputy Managing Directors Md Golam Mortuza, Md Nazrul Islam and Md Ashraful Alam, along with General Managers and relevant Deputy General Managers, attended.
Reviewing the current operating environment, the Managing Director set out action points to:

- mobilise low-cost deposits,
- expand auto challan collections,
- increase foreign remittances,
- recover and reduce classified loans, and
- intensify write-off loan recoveries,
alongside other necessary measures to strengthen the bank's balance sheet resilience.
