IUIM confers honorary doctorate on Global PMO leadership

The International University of Information Management (IUIM), Colorado, USA, has conferred an honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) on Dr Abdulla Al Mamun, Founder and CEO of PMaspire Singapore, PMO Global Institute Inc., and Sales Management Institute Inc., in recognition of his transformative global contributions to project, programme and portfolio management.

The degree was formally awarded during IUIM's 2025 Annual Induction and Investiture Ceremony held at The Wesley Hotel, Euston, London. The event was attended by dignitaries, scholars and global thought leaders, including His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi, King of Erinmo-Ijesa Kingdom, Nigeria, as the distinguished special guest.

This prestigious recognition honours Dr Abdulla's lifelong commitment to PMO maturity, AI-driven governance and global capacity building. His pioneering contributions include the development of internationally recognised PMO certifications such as Certified Associate in PMO (CA-PMO)®, Certified Baseline PMO Consultant (CB-PMO)®, Certified Agile PMO Consultant (AGILEPMO-C)® and Project Management Accredited Consultant (PMAC)®.

"This honour is deeply humbling and inspiring," said Dr Abdulla. "It reflects not just a personal journey but a collective mission to reduce project failure, empower professionals and integrate PMO, AI and information management to deliver sustainable impact."

A serial entrepreneur and visionary leader, Dr Abdulla also heads the Sales Management Institute Inc., which focuses on advancing global sales leadership through structured systems, certifications, and executive development. Known widely as "Abdulla The Transformer," he is acclaimed for driving technology-enabled change across the PMO landscape.

Dr Abdulla's integration of AI, governance frameworks and scalable education models has earned him global recognition from both corporate and government institutions. His efforts span more than 120 countries, with offices in Singapore, the USA, the UK, the UAE, Canada, and Bangladesh.

At the event, Dr Abdulla was honoured alongside other distinguished recipients, including Sir Godwin I Achi, Steve Maingot, FIIM, and High Chief Richmond Hope MacGrey, FIIM, for their contributions to leadership and professional excellence.

Committed to inspiring 5 million PMO professionals worldwide, Dr Abdulla continues to champion innovation and strategic project leadership to enable sustainable growth across industries.
