IUBAT and Krishi Gobeshona Foundation sign MoU to boost agricultural research

The International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) and the Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 July 2025 at the IUBAT Conference Hall to strengthen collaboration in agricultural research, academic exchange and capacity building.
The MoU was signed by Prof Dr Abdur Rab, Vice Chancellor of IUBAT, and Dr Nathu Ram Sarker, Executive Director of KGF, in the presence of senior officials, faculty members and researchers from both institutions.
IUBAT attendees included Professor Selina Nargis, Treasurer and Director of Administration; Prof Dr Md Shohidullah Miah, Prof Dr A J M Sirajul Karim, Prof Dr Sajal Saha, and Dr Mohammad Rezaul Karim. From KGF, Dr Md Monowar Karim Khan and other senior officials were present.
Prof Dr Abdur Rab, who presided over the ceremony, highlighted the importance of joint research and innovation in achieving national food security, climate resilience and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Dr Nathu Ram Sarker said the partnership will enhance cooperation and provide opportunities for IUBAT faculty to apply for research grants offered by KGF, advancing agricultural development.
The collaboration aims to facilitate joint research projects, technology dissemination, academic exchanges and capacity-building initiatives to benefit Bangladesh's agricultural sector and support sustainable development.
