Students of International Standard University (ISU) have launched a tree plantation and clean-up campaign to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
The initiative was inaugurated on Wednesday at the university's Mohakhali campus by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan. Speaking at the event, Dr Khan underscored the importance of maintaining ecological balance and fulfilling civic responsibilities. He called for broader community participation to transform Dhaka into a model green city.
The programme was organised by the ISU Environmental and Sustainable Development Club. As part of the campaign, students planted trees and cleaned the campus and surrounding areas.
Md Mahbubur Rahman, the club moderator, said the initiative aims to raise awareness and instil a sense of responsibility among students toward the environment.
Faculty deans, department heads, university officials and students actively participated in the event.
