Islami Bank holds quarterly business development conference
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC convened its Quarterly Business Development Conference, encompassing nine zones and four corporate branches, at its head office on 8 April 2026.
The conference reviewed the bank's performance for the January–March 2026 quarter, with Managing Director Md Omar Faruk Khan presiding.
Additional Managing Directors Md Altaf Hossain, Mohammad Jamal Uddin Mazumder and Dr M Kamal Uddin Jasim, along with deputy managing directors, senior head office executives, and the heads of the nine zones and four corporate branches, attended the conference.
Chairing the conference, Md Omar Faruk Khan emphasised Islami Bank's founding principles – "Based on Islamic Shari'ah" and "Pioneer of welfare-oriented banking" – which continue to underpin the bank's operations.
He instructed officials to expand business operations, particularly in import and export, enhance technology-driven remittance services, and strengthen the bank's contribution to national economic development.
