ILFSL board of directors reconstituted by High Court

The Honourable High Court Division of the Supreme Court has reconstituted the Board of Directors of International Leasing and Financial Services Limited (ILFSL), aiming to revive the organisation and protect the interests of its depositors and stakeholders.
Considering the country's larger interest, the High Court ordered the reconstitution of the board, noting that with the involvement of honest, experienced, and respected professionals, ILFSL could regain operational momentum and contribute positively to the financial sector.
The High Court appointed Md. Mahbubul Haque, former Deputy Auditor General of CGA (Secretary Grade-1), was appointed as the new Chairman of ILFSL.
The newly formed Board of Directors includes: Md. Abdul Mannan, former Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, Md. Ashrafuzzaman ACA, Partner, Aziz Halim Khair Choudhury & Co, Chartered Accountants, Abu Habib Khairul Kabir, former General Manager, Pubali Bank, Barrister Ashraf Ali, Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Md. Mostafizur Rahman Sarder, former Executive Director, Bangladesh Bank, and Ahmed Mushfeq Anam, Electrical and Electronic Engineer, Managing Director, X-Far Limited.
The reconstituted Board convened for its 281st meeting at the ILFSL head office on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The newly appointed Chairman, Md, chaired the meeting. Mahbubul Haque.
The meeting was held in the presence of all the Board members and Kazi Alamgir, the current Managing Director of ILFSL.
