Hult Prize at CU marks global entrepreneurship week with weeklong events
Hult Prize at the University of Chittagong marked Global Entrepreneurship Week with a seven-day programme featuring an online podcast series, a seminar, and a two-day Entrepreneurs' Fair showcasing student-led innovation, leadership, and enterprise development.
The Entrepreneurs' Fair 2025, held on 19–20 November at Buddhijibi Chattar, brought together young innovators and aspiring founders under one roof. The closing ceremony took place on 20 November at the Social Science Auditorium.
The fair was inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony by University of Chittagong Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Dr Mohammad Shamim Uddin Khan. More than thirty stalls displayed food products, clothing, handicrafts, and other creative business concepts developed by students. Speakers highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening an entrepreneurial culture on campus.
Alongside the fair, a seminar and show debate were held at the Social Science Auditorium, engaging participants in discussions on youth entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable impact.
The programme was organised by the Hult Prize at University of Chittagong 2025–26 organising committee, led by Campus Director, Khaled Mahmud Onik; Chief of Staff, Kazi Muhaiminul Islam Munaj; and Chief Strategist, Karin Saffana.
National Coordinator of Hult Prize Bangladesh Aminul Islam Sharif, National Community Coordinator Md Abid Shaharia, CUCSU Vice-President Ibrahim Hossain Roni, CUCSU Assistant General Secretary Ayobur Rahman Tawfick and Research and Innovation Secretary Tanvir Anjum Shovon attended the event.

They discussed how young entrepreneurs can drive sustainable change through innovative and responsible business practices.
The Entrepreneurs' Fair was led by Abdul Rahim Ahad, Mahmud Hasan Roman and the Event and IT Management Team, while Entrepreneurs' POV 2.0 was conducted by Rahbar Karim, Shazia Rahman and the Judges and Participants Management Team.
Organisers said the gathering of young innovators has strengthened the campus start-up ecosystem and expressed hope that the momentum of new ideas and initiatives will continue to grow in the coming years.
