Green University to host 4th international conference on innovation and transformation for development
Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) will host the 4th International Conference on Innovation and Transformation for Development (ITD 2025) on 27 and 28 November at its permanent campus in Purbachal American City, Kanchan, Rupganj, Narayanganj. A virtual platform will also enable participation from international scholars unable to attend in person.
Jointly organised by the Faculty of Business Studies and the Faculty of Law, the conference aims to foster innovation, transformation, and sustainable development by bringing together academics, researchers, industry leaders, and professionals from around the world.
The ITD conference series began in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic to build a resilient intellectual community committed to knowledge-sharing. Following the success of ITD 2021, 2022, and 2024, this year's edition will focus on the theme "Advancing Sustainable Business and Law: Integrating Environment, Society, and Governance in Emerging Economies."
The two-day event will feature keynote speeches, paper presentations, and panel discussions covering a wide range of topics across business, law, and allied disciplines. Key highlights include:
- Global participation from academics, researchers and industry leaders
- Focus on sustainability, innovation, and transformation in business and legal frameworks
- Hybrid format with on-campus and virtual attendance.
- Interdisciplinary dialogue aimed at producing actionable insights.
Thematic tracks will cover:
1. Sustainable Business:
Sustainable accounting and ESG reporting; corporate finance and sustainability; green investment; ethical finance; digital marketing for sustainability; HRM for sustainability; innovation and technology; behavioural economics; microfinance; circular economy; and resource efficiency.
2. Sustainable Law:
Constitutional law, human rights, and international law; criminal justice; civil and penal law; cyber security and AI ethics; taxation; corporate and trade law; maritime, aviation, and space law; environmental and water law; labour rights; intellectual property; and ADR.
The conference aims to promote interdisciplinary research, foster collaboration between academia, industry, and government, share global best practices, and inspire policy innovation and responsible business conduct.
The best papers in each track will receive awards. Research from previous editions has been published in Scopus-indexed journals, underscoring the conference's contribution to scholarship in business, sociology, and law.
