Gree hosts partners’ conference in Dhaka
Gree, the world's leading air conditioner brand, organised a partners' conference at a five-star hotel in Dhaka, bringing together partners, channel representatives and business delegates from across the country. The event, arranged by Electro Mart Group—Gree's local representative and manufacturer—commenced at 9:30am.
Electro Mart Group Chairman Md Nurun Newaz and Gree Global Assistant President Kevin Bai jointly inaugurated the conference. In his remarks, the chairman thanked partners and well-wishers for supporting the Gree brand in Bangladesh for three decades. He noted that the Group is contributing to the country's electronics industry by sharing technology with Gree Global, and that Gree air conditioners of international standards are now manufactured at its own factory in Sonargaon, Narayanganj.
In his welcome speech, Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Nurussafa Babu said partners and well-wishers had played a crucial role in establishing the Gree brand in Bangladesh, emphasising that the journey would not have been possible without their cooperation and commitment.
Gree Global Assistant President Kevin Bai thanked Bangladeshi partners for ensuring the wide availability of Gree products and highlighted the brand's global success. Noting the rapid expansion of Bangladesh's electronics market, he said the sector would continue to grow, driven by rural electrification, infrastructure development and rising consumer demand. He added that Gree's G-Boost inverter technology can reduce energy consumption by up to 70 per cent compared to conventional air conditioners. Features such as built-in inverter systems, G-Tech's five-level washing and water-electricity separation further enhance safety and efficiency.
He also underlined Gree's environmental commitments, including the use of R32 refrigerant, promotion of recycling and reduction of carbon emissions.
Gree Global AGM Ryan Zhang discussed the capabilities of Gree's central air-conditioning solutions, which are widely used in corporate offices, high-rise buildings, hospitals, and commercial and industrial facilities worldwide. He highlighted Gree's water-cooled magnetic chiller technology as a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for large-scale installations.
Electro Mart Managing Director Md Nurul Amin said Bangladesh's electronics sector is evolving rapidly and is on track to become self-reliant. He expressed optimism that Bangladeshi-made Gree products would soon be exported.
Group DMD Md Nurul Afser outlined the benefits of Gree air conditioners, noting that over 60 million consumers in more than 180 countries use the brand. He added that Gree air conditioners help reduce indoor viruses and bacteria, and have become essential household appliances due to their affordability, durability and energy efficiency. He also highlighted Gree's solar-powered air conditioning technology, which enables zero electricity bills and can feed excess power into the national grid.
Gree's product portfolio also includes refrigerators, air curtains, air coolers, air purifiers, and industrial dehumidifiers.
At the conference, marketing plans for 2026 were shared with partners. The event concluded with a special promotional programme. Among those present were Ms Amber of Gree Global; Electro Mart Group Directors Mohammed Sazzad Un Newaz, Nurul Azim Sunny and Synthia Kainath Nur; and General Manager (Sales & Marketing) Mahmudun Nabi Chowdhury, along with senior officials.
