Grand trophy unveiling of BIMASC Corporate Cricket League 2025
Bangladesh Institute of Management Alumni Society Chattogram (BIMASC) hosted the grand trophy unveiling ceremony for the inaugural BIMASC Corporate Cricket League 2025 on the evening of January 14, at the Zinnia Hall of The Peninsula Chittagong. This prestigious event, organized by Tournament Committee Convener and Executive Committee Sports Secretary Mr. Pratik Bhattacharjee, marked the beginning of an exciting chapter in Chattogram's corporate sporting scene.
The Peninsula Chittagong serves as the Title Sponsor, while Muskan is the Beverage Sponsor. The event is co-sponsored by Shajinaz Hospital Ltd. and GSCS.
The league will feature eight prominent corporate teams: Confidence Group, Padma Oil, Meghna Petroleum, Azim Group, Clifton Group, MAF Shoes, Apollo Imperial Hospital, and The Peninsula Chittagong.
The event commenced with a floral reception for The Peninsula Chittagong's General Manager, Mr. Sumedha Gunawardhana, and captains and managers of the participating teams. Notable cricketers, including Farveez Maharoof, former Sri Lankan national team all-rounder, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, star all-rounder of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, were also honored with floral bouquets.
The highlight of the evening was the grand unveiling of the tournament trophy by distinguished guests. During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the league's mission to promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, and collaboration among Chattogram's corporate entities. They emphasized that the league is an opportunity to foster friendship beyond competition and celebrate the spirit of sports.
Mr. Anwarul Islam, President of the BIMASC Executive Committee, expressed optimism about the league's potential to create a lasting impact. He remarked, "This tournament is more than just cricket. It's about uniting Chattogram's corporate sector and showcasing the value of teamwork and collaboration."
The ceremony was graced by notable BIMASC members, including Vice President Mr. Md. Shaydur Rahman Mintu, General Secretary Mr. Mohammad Abu Fayez, Treasurer Mr. Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Organizing Secretary Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Chowdhury, and others. Former BIMASC leaders, Mr. Arif Ahmed, Mr. Ataur Rahman, and Founding Member Mr. Mohammad Kamrul Alam Chowdhury, were also present.
