BUET and BIM sign MoU to enhance academic and professional collaboration

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 30 August 2025 at the BUET campus to strengthen academic, professional and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The MoU was signed by Professor Dr Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman, vice-chancellor of BUET, and Dr Khandoker Azizul Islam, director general of BIM, on behalf of their respective institutions, according to a press release.
The collaboration was coordinated by the Institute of Appropriate Technology (IAT) of BUET and the IQAC office of BIM.
BUET pro vice-chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, director of students' welfare Professor Dr A K M Masud, registrar Professor Dr N M Golam Zakaria, IAT director Professor Dr Mohidus Samad Khan, BIM IQAC director Dr Md Mamunur Rashid and BIM head of marketing Dr Uttam Kumar Datta were present on the occasion.
The purpose of the MoU is to establish a collaborative framework to facilitate academic and professional training, joint research and development, laboratory access and resource sharing, as well as faculty and expert exchange programmes.
