Grameen Bank holds 65th Zonal Managers and Audit Officers Conference 2025

With the theme "Economic emancipation of the poor shall be our commitment", Grameen Bank hosted its 65th Zonal Managers and Zonal Audit Officers Conference at the bank's head office auditorium on 11–12 July 2025.
The two-day conference brought together senior leadership, including Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grameen Bank, who attended as chief guest. Also present were Director Nazneen Sultana, Managing Director Sarder Akhter Hamed, Deputy Managing Director (Human Resources & Service Management) Syed Motiur Rahman, and Deputy Managing Director (Branch Operations & Monitoring) AKM Sazzad Hossain. Executives from the head office, along with zonal managers and zonal audit officers from 40 zones across the country, also participated.
The conference reviewed the operational performance of all zonal and audit offices and provided key guidance to strengthen ongoing programmes.
In his address, Chairman Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury emphasised the need for digital transformation, stating, "Alongside improving technological skills, we must move toward cashless transactions. To achieve this, initiatives will be taken to disburse loans and collect instalments through our own app."
Director Nazneen Sultana highlighted the institution's global significance in advancing gender equity, saying, "Grameen Bank is a unique example of women's empowerment worldwide. We must continue our journey upholding unity, action, and discipline, and move forward with full vigour."
Managing Director Sarder Akhter Hamed expressed optimism about the bank's future, noting, "With the united efforts of colleagues at all levels, starting from the field, we will overcome various challenges and continue to uphold the legacy of a transparent and prosperous Grameen Bank. Ensuring this is our commitment."
