Grameen Bank appoints new deputy managing director
Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has been promoted to deputy managing director (finance and accounts) of Grameen Bank in recognition of his performance and contribution to the institution.
The decision was taken at the 173rd meeting of the board of directors of Grameen Bank. Before the promotion, he was serving as general manager of the bank's finance and accounts division.
Rezaul Karim Chowdhury was born in West Dhemsha village under ward 6 of Satkania upazila in Chattogram. He completed his master's degree in management at the University of Chittagong and joined Grameen Bank as a probationary officer in 1995.
During his career, he has held several key positions at the bank, including branch manager, programme officer, area manager, zonal audit officer, zonal manager and head of division.
According to the bank, he has contributed to the institution's development through his work at different administrative levels. Drawing on his long professional experience, he said he hopes to continue playing an effective role in advancing Grameen Bank's loan and deposit activities and supporting its overall progress.
