GPH International School hosts annual sports competition 2026
GPH International School concluded its Annual Sports Competition and Cultural Programme 2026 with a prize-giving ceremony at Munshiganj Shilpakala Academy.
The day-long event drew students, parents, and dignitaries, fostering a spirited and festive environment.
Liton Abdullah, Regional Development Manager for Bangladesh and Nepal at Pearson, attended as chief guest. Tahnee Yeasmin, Director of Business Development at the British Council Bangladesh, was present as special guest. The event also saw attendance by Mohammed Alamgir Kabir, Chairman of both the school management committee and GPH Ispat Ltd, Vice-Chairman Kamrun Nahar, and other notable guests.
The programme commenced with the national anthem, followed by the creative 'Dress as You Like' segment, showcasing enthusiastic participation from young students. The event gained further momentum as prizes were awarded to the winners.
The cultural segment featured performances in dance, music, poetry recitation, and magic, with students' energy and creativity warmly received by the audience.
In his address, the chief guest underscored the importance of balancing academic achievement with co-curricular pursuits, urging students to cultivate confidence and leadership.
Chairman Mohammed Alamgir Kabir commended the students' achievements and expressed optimism for larger-scale events in the future.
Principal Brigadier General Khandaker Farhad Hossain (Retd) welcomed guests and thanked teachers, students, and parents for their active participation and support.
