Galleria inaugurates 80 kW solar power system in Chattogram

Galleria – Your Second Home has inaugurated an 80 kW net metering solar power system, marking the first of its kind in Chattogram.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Dr M Shamim Z Bosunia, academic and structural engineering expert; Engr Iftekhar Hosen, President of CPDL Family; and Nazneen Akter, Director of Solaric Ltd. Members of CPDL Family, Solaric Ltd., and other dignitaries were also present.
As part of the initiative, solar panels have been installed across Galleria's rooftop, enabling electricity to be supplied back to the national grid through net metering. The project aims to promote energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to environmental preservation.
Galleria has deployed Trina Solar 700 Wp Tier-1 panels, the highest capacity solar panels currently used in Bangladesh, along with Sofar Solar inverters utilising advanced German technology.
This pioneering project sets a benchmark for sustainable urbanisation in Chattogram and is expected to inspire other institutions to adopt renewable energy solutions, paving the way for greener cities in the future.
