Freshers' reception 2024-2025 held at BUP
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) hosted the Freshers' Reception 2024–25 on its campus on 13 April 2025, welcoming newly admitted students to the university.
BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD, attended the programme as the chief guest. At the beginning of the event, the new students were briefed on academic and administrative matters of the university.
Congratulating the students on their admission to BUP, the Vice Chancellor encouraged them to nurture discipline, tolerance, empathy, honesty, integrity, self-confidence, learning ability, and moral values during their academic journey.

He said that BUP aims to provide an education that enables students to better understand real-world challenges. Highlighting the university's emphasis on outcome-based and need-based education, he noted that BUP strives to align academic goals with societal needs, promoting ethical standards and strengthening the moral fabric of the nation.
"Outcome-based education helps students achieve specific learning goals and acquire the necessary skills to succeed in their chosen fields," he added.
BUP Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, alongside senior officials, faculty members, staff and students, was present at the event.
