Fevicol champions club plants 2,825 trees across Bangladesh
Fevicol Champions Club (FCC), an association of small and medium furniture entrepreneurs, has planted 2,825 saplings across the country as part of the National Tree Plantation Campaign 2025.
With the support of over 3,900 members, the campaign took place in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Barishal, Cumilla, Bogura, Gazipur, Mymensingh, Khulna and Savar under the motto "Plant trees to save lives."
Speaking on the initiative, Mr Mainak Dutta, Country Manager of PIDILITE Bangladesh, said, "We are already witnessing the consequences of climate change—floods and heatwaves are increasing every year. In the past six years, FCC has planted more than 10,000 trees across Bangladesh to fight this growing threat to humanity. I congratulate all FCC members for their continued commitment to this cause."
FCC, supported by the adhesive brand Fevicol, is an independent platform for the country's furniture makers. Since its launch in Bangladesh in August 2019, the organisation has expanded to include 45 regional clubs, all dedicated to the personal and social development of entrepreneurs in the furniture sector.
Each quarter, FCC organises a range of community-focused activities, including health camps, blood donation drives, tree plantations, environmental awareness campaigns, and voluntary service programmes.
According to the organisers, this year's tree plantation effort is one of the most wide-reaching in FCC's history, with members contributing not only time and effort but also taking personal responsibility for nurturing the saplings planted.
The campaign reinforces the FCC's ongoing mission to promote environmental sustainability while empowering grassroots furniture entrepreneurs nationwide.
