Experience flavourful Bangladesh at InterContinental Dhaka

InterContinental Dhaka, in collaboration with bKash, proudly presents "Flavourful Bangladesh"—a vibrant festival showcasing the rich tapestry of Bangladeshi cuisine, art, and culture in association with HerNet Foundation.

The press meet for the festival was held at InterContinental Dhaka on 13 May 2025, where Olivier Loreaux (Acting General Manager, InterContinental Dhaka), Rezwan Maruf (Director of Sales and  Marketing, InterContinental Dhaka), Saadman Salahuddin (Director of Marketing, InterContinental Dhaka), Kaidul Arefin (Representative, bKash), Alisha Prodhan (Chief Curator, HerNet Fine Arts), Byjed Al Hassan (Managing Director and CEO, Probashir Helicopter) were present along with media and officials of all participating organizations. From 15 to 24 May 2025, guests are invited to indulge in an immersive experience of authentic flavours, captivating artworks, and live cultural performances at the iconic InterContinental Dhaka.

Hosted at Elements Global Dining, the festival will feature a culinary journey through all eight divisions of Bangladesh, offering regional delicacies including Mezbaani Beef (Chattogram), Kacchi Biryani (Dhaka), Ilish Macher Paturi (Barishal), Chui Jhaal Beef (Khulna), Boal Macher Doi Jhal (Mymensingh), Murgir Jhol with Kacha Aam (Rajshahi), Bhuna Khichuri (Rangpur), Shatkora Murgi (Sylhet). The hotel's expert culinary team will craft these authentic dishes with finesse.

Those with a sweet tooth can savour a delightful assortment of traditional Bangladeshi desserts and pithas, including Patishapta, Pakon Pitha, Puli Pitha, Shahi Jorda, Faluda, Roshogolla, and Rosh Malai—all part of the lavish buffet spread.

Adding to the cultural ambience, the festival will also feature live painting sessions by legendary artists like Monirul Islam, Farida Zaman, Mhd Eunus, Jamal Ahmed, Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Ahmed Samsudohha, Sheikh Afzal, Abdus Satter, Biren Shome, Abdus Shakoor Shah, and many more. It will also feature group art exhibitions from 40 prominent Bangladeshi artists and local Handicraft stalls, all curated by HerNet Foundation and HerNet Fine Arts.

Live cultural performances by local talents will enrich each evening, and attendees will have a chance to win a Helicopter Joyride, courtesy of Probashir Helicopter, through an exciting raffle draw.
