EWU welcomes freshers at spring orientation

East West University (EWU) warmly welcomed approximately 1,850 new students during its Orientation Program for the Spring Semester 2025, held on 13 February 2025.

The event began an exciting academic journey for the newly admitted students.

The programme was graced by Professor Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossein, a member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, who was the chief guest. In his inspiring address, he encouraged the new students, offering valuable guidance for their academic and personal growth. Professor Dr Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, attended the event as the Special Guest and emphasised the significance of academic excellence and personal dedication in achieving objectives. The programme chair, Professor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, chief adviser of EWU and a former governor of the Bangladesh bank, delivered the concluding remarks and extended his best wishes to the freshers. He has reaffirmed the university's commitment to providing a supportive educational environment and granting merit scholarships to foster students' success.

The event also featured welcome speeches from the Deans of the Faculties of EWU. A special focus of the orientation was the heartfelt speech of a who shared her excitement and aspirations for her forthcoming journey at EWU. The event was also attended by distinguished guests, including members of the Board of Trustees, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, the Treasurer, faculty members, administrative officials, freshers, and their guardians.
