Evercare Hospital launches trauma center in Dhaka

Evercare Hospital Dhaka, Bangladesh's first JCI (Joint Commission International) accredited hospital, has launched a Trauma Center on the occasion of World Trauma Day 2021 to achieve its goal of bringing world-class healthcare to Dhaka residents.

The Trauma Center is open to patients round the clock, offering a wide range of essential medical services for quick trauma response, such as immediate advanced general and cardiac resuscitation facilities, X-ray, Ultrasonography, CT-Scan, MRI, continuous cardiac monitoring, CT-Angiogram, and DSA.

An advanced lab facility and IC and Modular OT are also part of the Trauma Center, along with many other services and facilities, said a press release.

Prof Dr Abdul Gani Mollah, director, NITOR and president, BOS, was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the Trauma Center.

Speaking at the inauguration, he said, "I believe that Evercare Dhaka's Trauma Center will succeed in providing quality services to the patients. I extend thanks to Evercare for ensuring world-class healthcare for Bangladeshis right on their home soil.

Evercare Hospital's CEO and MD Dr Ratnadeep Chaskar, Director of Medical Services Dr Sanjay Kishanrao Pathare, Deputy Director of Medical Services Dr Arif Mahmood and Chief Marketing Officer Vinay Kaul also attended the ceremony, among others.

"With the inauguration of this Trauma Center, our promise to provide quality healthcare to the people of Dhaka city has been fulfilled further. Our specialist physicians will be engaged at the Trauma Center 24/7 in providing all necessary services to our patients. I am confident that this Trauma Center will bring indispensable benefits for our patients.", stated Evercare's CEO and MD at the ceremony.

The newly launched Trauma Center comprises a team of skilled and experienced multidisciplinary specialists, including but not limited to general and laparoscopic surgeons, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, and critical care specialists.

Zillur Rahman, senior consultant and coordinator- Neurosurgery, Dr Md Aliuzzaman Joarder, senior consultant- Neurosurgery, Dr Ajay Abrol, senior consultant and coordinator- Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery, Dr Md Zulfiqur Haider, senior consultant- Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, and Dr Sohail Ahmed, senior consultant and coordinator- Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery also attended the launching event of the Trauma Center.
