EBL signs MoU with Mongla Port Authority on digital banking
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) and Mongla Port Authority (MPA) have partnered to launch advanced digital banking services at Mongla Port, advancing digital transformation in Bangladesh's maritime sector.
Md Jabedul Alam, Head of Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking Division at EBL, and Dr AKM Anisur Rahman, Member (Engineering and Development) at MPA, signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Mongla.
The partnership will see EBL and MPA jointly establish a comprehensive digital ecosystem, allowing port users to conduct transactions via EBL's robust digital banking platform.

Senior officials from both organisations, including Captain Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Harbour Master; Md Kamal Hossain, Deputy Secretary and Director of Traffic; Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Deputy Chief Finance and Accounting Officer; Md Fazle Alam, Chief Audit Officer; Lt Col Md Arif Billah, Chief Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical Services) at MPA; and Mohammad Arif Chowdhury, Head of Cash Management, Transaction Banking Division at EBL, attended the signing ceremony.
