Dhaka Bank distributes agricultural machinery

Dhaka Bank PLC distributed modern agricultural machinery among 300 (approximately) local farmers in Belkuchi Upazila of Sirajganj district as part of Special Corporate Social Responsibility (Agriculture). 

This distribution program, which was conducted on 22nd February 2025, was undertaken to increase agricultural productivity and facilitate farming through modern machinery. 

Mr Abdul Hai Sarker, Chairman of Dhaka Bank PLC. and Bangladesh Association of Banks, was present as the Chief Guest at the event and distributed agricultural machinery among the farmers,

Mr Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and CEMO, Mr Sahabub Alam Khan, SEVP and Chief Financial Officer of Dhaka Bank, Ms Afia Sultana, UNO, Belkuchi, Mr Protik Mandal, AC Land, Belkuchi Thana, and Mr Katebur Rahman, EVP and Head of Agricultural Banking Division, along with other high officials of Dhaka Bank, were present at that event. 

Mr  Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank, said, "Modern technology and machinery are essential for our country's agricultural development. This initiative will help bring positive changes in Bangladesh's agricultural sector."

Mr Abdul Hai Sarker, Chairman of Dhaka Bank, said in his speech, "We are always committed to developing the country's agricultural sector. This is a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, which we hope will play a major role in the country's socio-economic development and food security." 

The farmers received the initiative very positively and were grateful to Dhaka Bank. According to them, this equipment will save time and labour and increase yield. They appreciated Dhaka Bank's activities to revolutionize agricultural development and were grateful for always being with them.
