D-gest presents Rotnodharini – A special mother’s day tribute to gynecologist mothers

To commemorate Mother's Day, a unique and heartfelt event titled D-gest Presents Rotnodharini was held in honour of the country's gynaecologist mothers. Organised under the patronage of Acme's Gynocare and managed by The ACME Laboratories Ltd, the event celebrated the tireless contributions of women who balance their roles as both healthcare providers and mothers.

The vibrant programme took place today, Sunday, 18 May 2025, at the Samson H. Chowdhury Centre of the prestigious Dhaka Club in the capital.

The event was presided over by Professor Dr Farhana Dewan, Honourable President of OGSB (Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Bangladesh). Professor Dr Halida Hanum Akhter, internationally renowned public health expert and Honourable Member of the Commission on the Reform of Women's Affairs, attended as the chief guest. Professor Dr Samina Chowdhury and Professor Dr Rowshan Ara Begum, both former presidents of OGSB, delivered special remarks.

The core purpose of this exceptional gathering was to pay tribute to gynaecologist mothers across the country, who shoulder the dual responsibilities of caring for patients while fulfilling their familial duties. A special Mother's Day video was screened during the event, moving the audience with stories of sacrifice, balance and dedication—bringing many to tears.

High officials from the Marketing and Sales departments of The ACME Laboratories Ltd were also present at the event. Among the distinguished guests were Mohammad Ziauddin, Senior General Manager (Marketing), and Md Ferdous Khan, Executive Director (Sales & Distribution). Both expressed their gratitude to the gynaecologists for their unwavering dedication and reaffirmed ACME's commitment to supporting this vital segment of the medical community.

The event also featured cultural performances and a lively raffle draw, adding a joyful dimension to the celebration. Gynaecologists from different regions of the country participated, sharing personal stories of struggle, perseverance and professional achievement.

With D-gest Presents Rotnodharini, The ACME Laboratories Ltd has not only honoured the contributions of women in the medical field, but also conveyed a powerful and positive message to society.
