Construction, wood and renewable energy expos open at ICCB
Four international trade shows on construction, woodworking, interiors and renewable energy opened at Expo Village of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on 17 September 2026.
The three-day exhibitions, running until 19 September, are jointly organised by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Futurex Trade & Events Pvt Ltd, with Interior Design Bangladesh (IDB) as the knowledge partner, according to a press release.
The events comprise the 10th Bangladesh BUILDCON 2026, the 10th Bangladesh WOOD International Expo 2026 presented by BEST CNC Router, the INTERIOR & EXTERIOR Expo, and the SOLAR BANGLA Renewable Energy Expo.

Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI) Director General Dr Engr Giasuddin Haider, also an additional chief engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD), inaugurated the exhibitions as chief guest alongside representatives from the participating sectors.
"Bangladesh is making rapid strides in infrastructure, housing, and the modern furniture industry. However, to sustain this growth, we must increase the adoption of cost-effective, eco-friendly, and advanced technologies," he said.
"International trade shows like 'Bangladesh BUILDCON' and 'Bangladesh WOOD Expo' provide a unique platform for local entrepreneurs and industry leaders to explore world-class machinery, sustainable building materials and cutting-edge solutions."
ASK Trade & Exhibitions Managing Director Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan said the exhibitions offer stakeholders in construction, woodworking, interiors, exteriors and solar energy opportunities for innovation, networking and business growth.
"Visitors can discover the latest in construction materials, interior solutions, solar technology, woodworking machinery and furniture supplies—all under one roof," he said.
The organisers said Bangladesh BUILDCON addresses the construction industry's need for technologies that reduce costs, improve efficiency and support sustainability.
They said Bangladesh's furniture sector, which includes many unorganised businesses, also needs modernisation to increase production and improve quality. Bangladesh WOOD Expo aims to connect local users with international technology, alongside the concurrent renewable energy and interior exhibitions.
As part of the programme, Interior Design Bangladesh will organise a seminar titled "ARCH*INTERIOR BRIDGE – 2026" on 19 September, starting at 10 am.
The seminar will explore the relationship between architecture and interior design through keynote presentations and interactive sessions, providing a learning opportunity for professionals and emerging designers.
Featured speakers include architects and TKNRK Associates partners NR Khan, Tanya Karim, and Kazi Nurul Karim Dilu.
Zannat Jui, Partner and Head of Design at SHATOTTO Architecture of Green Living and Founder and Principal Architect at ZANNAT JUI ARCHITECTS, will also participate.
Other speakers include architect Sumaya Islam, Managing Director of Create Design Research Lab, Chairman of Create Foundation and former Assistant Professor in the AUST Architecture Department; and architect and lighting designer Farahbee Rahman, Founder and Lead Designer at Light Communication and Arch Communication Architectural, who holds an MSc in Architectural Lighting Design.
Latifa Sultana Liza, Principal Architect at Dsaa and Assistant Professor in the Architecture Department at Southeast University, will also feature in the sessions.
The programme will additionally include Shanta Lifestyle Ltd Head of Sales Md Tariqul Islam, JAT Wood Coating Head of Sales–Retail Rakib ur Rahaman Chowdhury and JCI Dhaka Uptown Local President Navid Nowroz Shah.
Products on display include adhesives and chemicals, CNC boilers, fibre and CO2 lasers, wood printing technology, concrete block machines, hardware and locks, particle boards, power tools, batching plants and construction equipment.
Visitors can also explore pipes and fittings, cables, sealants, software, construction chemicals, ceramics, electrical switches and accessories, water pumps and motors, solar power systems, kitchen appliances, home automation and aluminium panels.
The exhibitions are open daily to business visitors from 11 am to 7 pm. Visitors are invited to attend.
