College student becomes millionaire with walton fridge purchase

Rasel Fakir, a college student from Charbhadrasan upazila of Faridpur, was awarded Tk 10 lakh after he had purchased a Walton brand refrigerator at installment under the ongoing digital campaign season-22's countrywide 'millionaire' offer.

On Tuesday (March 4, 2025), Bangladeshi popular film actor Amin Khan handed Rasel Fakir a cheque worth Tk10 lakh at a programme held at Charbhadrasan Adorsho School's playground.
The function was also attended, among others, by Walton's Chief Marketing Officer Zoheb Ahmed, Charbhadrasan Police Station's OC Raziullah Khan, Gazirtek Union Chairman Yakub Ali, freedom fighter Abul Kalam, Charbhadrasan Bonik Samity President Alamgir Hossen Mollah, Walton Plaza's Chief Sales Executive Wahiduzzaman Tanvir, Chief Divisional Officer Al Mahfuz Khan and Charbhadrasan Walton Plaza Manager Torikul Islam attended the event.

In season 22, customers are offered Tk 10 lakh to purchase Walton brand fridges, ACs, washing machines, or BLDC fans from any Walton Plaza and distributor outlet nationwide. Crores of taka in cashback are also available. Customers will enjoy these benefits until Eid-ul-Azha this year.

Under this campaign, Rasel purchased a fridge from the Walton Plaza Charbhadrasan branch on February 25, 2025, with a Tk11,500 down payment instalment. After he had purchased the fridge, his name, mobile number, and the model number of the purchased fridge were digitally registered. After a while, he received a message from Walton on his mobile with the notification that he had been awarded Tk10 lakh cashback.

While expressing his reaction, Rased said, I had never imagined getting Tk 10 lakh just for buying a Walton fridge. I will invest the awarded money in a business. Thanks to Walton."
Actor Amin Khan said Walton is not only doing business but also playing a role in socio-economic development. Rasel Fakir is now a millionaire, and this effort is continuing. The public should buy international-standard branded products instead of non-brand ones. To keep money inside the country, we should purchase locally made products. This programme is proof that Walton keeps its promises to customers.
